True Friends
05/15/17
Meet Charlie and Saba, two of the 300 gardeners in our community garden program. Two years ago, they were strangers, separated by language and cultural barriers. Today they are True Friends! Charlie is a retired farmer from Kearney; Sabah an Iraqi refugee, with a lifetime of working the farm fields in his home country. However unlikely, their friendship has blossomed at the Oak Lake Church community garden.
Building community is just one of the many ways that Community Crops impacts Lincoln. Will you give today to support our work? Give to Lincoln Day is May 18th, but you can donate online now until 11:59 pm on the 18th. Please consider a donation to Community crops so that more friendships can be formed right here in Lincoln!
